Monday 10th:
Up and breakfasting by 08:00 (good breakfasts here at the Adelphi Suites).
We decided on a visit to Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World at Siam Paragon. Entrance fee quite high, but my Thai I.D. card came in handy again by reducing the cost.
Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World (formerly, Siam Ocean World) is an aquarium in Bangkok, Thailand, the largest in South East Asia. It covers approximately 10,000 square meters (110,000 sq ft) with hundreds of different species on display in exhibits totaling about 5,000,000 litres.
I was quite impressed with the aquarium; all laid out well with some pretty impressive exhibits like BIG sharks, groupers, penguins, otters, etc, etc.
Stayed here for several hours with all the family enjoying themselves.
Taxi back to the hotel followed by Aom & I going to Klongtoey Market for her to stock up on various Thai dried produce to take back to UK (I hope it fits into her suitcase).

Photos of just some of the produce available at Klongtoey Market. (I couldn't resist a shot of my favourite fruit, Pomelo [last pic]).
Tuesday 11th:
Very last full day in Thailand; it's been a 2 month long eventful trip, but I think both of us are in need of a return to normality and reality.
Day was spent dithering about to be honest. Aom spoiled herself with a pedicure and we both squeezed a 90-minute foot massage each in. Later in the day we took baby Jack up to the apartment's pool for a splash about.
Nice evening dinner after a few beers and that was about it.
Wednesday 12th:
The chauffeur agency had already phoned yesterday to arrange pick-up at 16:30 for transfer to Suvarnabhumi Airport for the 1st leg of our long flight back to UK at 20:35.
I said a fond farewell to Somjit (Aom's Mum / my mother-in-law) and brother Joe. Aom went with them to Bangkok Bus Terminal with hope they can get a bus back to Surin; this may well be a problem as it's the start of Songkran tomorrow and it's mayhem on Thai roads and transport as everyone wants to get back to their villages and families for the celebrations.
The two flights back to UK via Abu Dhabi were largely uneventful. We were NOT impressed with Abu Dhabi's methods to passenger treatment; for instance I cannot understand why when one has just come straight off a plane (having already been security checked to board that plane in the 1st place) why we were cattle herded through a second packed security check merely to get to a transfer flight. But what really did irk was that as business class we were herded through to queue-up even after protesting with a moronic Arabic attendant who in spite of standing beneath an illuminated sign stating "Priority Lane, First and Business Class" refused to let us through. But, that's the way of things in some of these countries.
Our chauffeur was on-hand on reaching Manchester and we were delivered home safely by 08:30 suitably jet-lagged with the prospect of a supermarket visit to restock our food larder.
All in all an eventful and great 2 month Thai 'adventure'.
There'll be some more blogs in the near future.
